About

Welcome to my website. This blog is an attempt to list some of my spritual ponderings and musings which have come from numerous sources over the years ranging from books, lectures, seminars, meditation groups and personal reflections. My sprititual perspective is from a non-religious view but does incorporate all the great aspects of different religions, culture, philosophy and most importantly from humanity itself. What makes sense, I have absorbed and what does not, I have parked to one side with an open mind to return and re-assess at some point. One of my greatest prompts for overhauling my beliefs has been the Kalama Sutta (I appreciate this comes from Buddhism but it offers a fairly neutral stance in my opinon). It has often prompted me to let go of everything I have ever believed in and to re-assess things from a new perspective – a hugely challenging endeavour. For me there is no other way – blind faith is not an option.

Believe nothing merely because you have been told it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But, whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings – That doctorine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide.
