This is a poignant reminder for me of some of the people I have been acquainted with in my life. I eventually learned to state “If you raise your voice, you compel me to to raise mine in return and that would be very unpleasant for the both of us! You leave me with no choice but to disengage with you any further until you have calmed down.”
I’m grateful to the Universe for life’s lessons that allowed me to adopt such a stance 🙏.
